Bring the whole family to this heartwarming holiday event! The Academy Award nominated holiday film based on Raymond Briggs’ beloved classic book is brought to life with a full orchestra. The MSO performs Howard Blakes’s beautiful score to the animated film The Snowman, featuring the much-loved song, Walking in the Air. Filled with magic and adventure, The Snowman is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! You’ll also hear holiday classics featuring the Mankato Ballet dancing to selections from Tchaikovky’s The Nutcracker Suite and a world premiere exploration of Minnesota wildlife with Bold North, also performed live to film.
Arrive at 2PM to browse and purchase holiday gifts, handcrafted by local artisans and enjoy special Snowman treats in the lobby during intermission.
