We are fundraising for 2 causes this year, 2 who really need our support. 🦋 The 1st is a local supporting group, who rely on donations to help grieving people,
JAY'S BEREAVEMENT GROUP 🦋
They are based at the Phoenix Centre in MD, they meet up on the 3rd Thursday of the month for Adults and the 4th Thursday of the month for Juniors.🦋
The 2nd is for a local girl.
Hi, my name is Rhianwen, I am 14 years old. In 2026 I have the amazing opportunity to take part in a once in a lifetime experience trip to Kenya with school. It will be 4 weeks of experiencing new foods, culture, climate and learning new skills.
Whilst there I will be taking part in different projects within the community, these may include :
Local project work including building facilities in the community.
Helping in the schools and providing a workspace for local children.
Working to provide water holes for animals.
Goat d-worming! (apparently this is a competition)
Making ethical elephant deterrents to protect local crops
Scuba diving qualification- that will last a lifetime
And even a safari!
I feel this experience will be fundamental in the start of adulthood, to gain life skills, be independent and learn about the African culture.
In the evening we will have music being played by DJ Danny Drayton
"Music Bingo", tickets purchased on the night!
