Our creek. Our community. Our impact.
π Sunday, December 20, 2026
β° 10:00 a.m. β 1:00 p.m.
π Thomas G. Watts Park, Merritt Island, FL
Let's give back to the beautiful waterways in our own backyard! π
Join us for the 2026 Sykes Creek Kayak Cleanup, a community effort that began after the 2019 Merritt Island Christmas Boat Parade and has grown into a tradition of caring for the place we call home.
Sykes Creek is part of what makes Merritt Island so special. From our mangroves and wildlife to the waterways we enjoy with family and friends, it's worth protecting. And the best part? A little community teamwork can make a big difference!
πΆ WHAT TO EXPECT
Spend a few hours helping remove trash and debris from Sykes Creek alongside fellow neighbors, paddlers, and environmental stewards.
π OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS
We're excited to partner again with Keep Brevard Beautiful and BK Adventure to make this cleanup possible!
𧀠SUPPLIES PROVIDED
We'll provide cleanup supplies, so you can focus on lending a hand and helping keep our waterways healthy.
β REGISTRATION & VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN
All volunteers will register and check in at the event. Additional details will be shared as we get closer to cleanup day.
π WHY IT MATTERS
Every piece of trash removed is one less piece of debris in our waterways. Together, our community has already made a meaningful impact, and we're ready to keep that momentum going!
Whether you're a returning volunteer or joining us for the first time, we'd love to see you there.
