Deepen your meditation practice with our monthly, in-person, half-day meditation retreat.We offer a morning of meditation one Saturday each month. We begin meditation at 9:00 am and sit three rounds. Participants are asked to arrive by 8:45 am for orientation.
SWVA Monthly Meditation Group
You are welcome to leave after any round and may join at the beginning of any round, after you have attended one orientation session.
At the conclusion of the morning, we will gather for sharing and to plan the date and location for sitting the following month.
Please bring a food offering to share if you plan to stay for the social following the sittings.
Here is our schedule:
8:45 am Arrival and Orientation
9:00 -9:40 am First sitting round
9:40-10:00 am Walking Meditation
10:00-10:40 am Second sitting round
10:40-11:00 am Walking Meditation
11:00-11:40 am Third sitting round
11:40 am Sharing and Planning for future sits
Noon: Social with sharing of food
Cushions and chairs will be available, and feel free to bring your own cushion if you wish.
