#MomWouldBeSoProud...10 years of Laughter Bringing Sunshine to benefit the Alzheimer/Dementia Family Fund
The Alzheimer/Dementia Family Fund has been started because there are families struggling out there to get respite care/medical assistance and guidance on next steps for their loved ones and through laughter bring light to make this happen for some families in our community.
The show will take place Saturday, Nov. 9 at Fraser Lions Club 34540 Utica Rd in Fraser.
Doors open at 7pm to eat before the show starts at 8pm.
Food is included in the ticket price.
$35 single ticket/$60 couples ticket/tables of 8 start at $300 and there are variations. This show is for 21 and older please.

Sparkle Network Founder Moe Lietz will be the host of the event. Lietz created the
Alzheimer/Dementia Family Fund after seeing firsthand how the disease affected her family when her mother was diagnosed.
“This fund was created based on the journey we went through with my mom and seeing the need for offering direction and some monetary help to families who find themselves in this journey, as well." The journey ended in August 2021 when her mom's over 10 year journey came to an end. "We keep working in her honor because it is what she would want and would do if she had started this organization".
The line up is....
Up first is our girl, Moe Lietz, she’s full of sarcasm and unfiltered comments. Depending on what family is in the audience on this night you may just learn a little more of what life in a Big Irish family is like.
We are excited to welcome back Julie Lyons, as she was part of the first Mom Would Be So Proud Event.
Julie is a lifelong comedian who is a late bloomer to the stage, but makes everything she says relatable. The life experiences that she's absorbed and filed away in the rolodex in her head make for great stories and jokes. The adage "talk about what you know" serves to make you laugh or possibly feel sorry for her! As a middle-aged (now senior), overweight, divorced grandmother, she has an opinion on everything. She realizes you have to laugh at what life throws you or you may be in for a world of hurt. She calls herself a "cautionary tale" for the young folks. This will happen to you! Hopefully hearing someone their parents' age talk about what she's been through and be able to laugh about it, will give them some empathy towards the seniors in their life. As for the older people in the audience, they laugh because they recognize the humor in life's weird situations, and are grateful they are not alone and they've lived through it too. Maybe not with dignity, but they managed somehow!
Laughter makes the world go 'round and I'm doing my small part!
Ending our show with a dear friend we are glad to have back, Steve Smargon.
Steve is a military veteran known as "The Bipolar Marine" and one of the most unique and sought-after performers in the country. Through his stand-up, he has become a mental health advocate whose goal is to show others that they are not alone in their struggles. He was the winner of the "National Clean Comedy Challenge,"--going on 3 years and running as well as being featured in the bestselling, "200 Comedy Writers and Stand-ups Walk Into A Book." His twisted takes on life cover many diverse topics and his style on any given night all depend on whether he took his prescribed medication, or...a handful of Skittles.
