Kids grow fast — and school uniforms grow expensive. Our free Swish & Stitch Uniform Swap is a simple, friendly way to pass on the uniform your children have outgrown and pick up the next size up — all for free.

Bring along clean, good-condition uniform you no longer need, and take home what fits. No money changes hands, nothing goes to waste, and every family leaves with a little less to buy.

How it works

Bring clean school uniform in good condition (any local school).
Take what you need — you don't have to bring something to take something.
It's completely free, and everyone's welcome.

What you can bring
Jumpers, cardigans, shirts and polos, trousers, skirts, pinafores, PE kit, coats and shoes — washed and ready to pass on.

Good to know

All ages and families welcome.
Any uniform left over will be donated to Southport Uniform Hub , so nothing is wasted.

The bigger picture
This swap is part of Swish & Stitch — Southport, our project helping families reduce clothing waste and keep clothes in use for longer. Textiles are one of the UK's fastest-growing waste streams — but the greenest uniform is the one that gets a second life. Swish & Stitch is funded by the Merseyside Recycling & Waste Authority (MRWA) / Veolia Zero Waste Community Fund 2026–27.
