The Christchurch Big Band Jazz Festival is coming up on Labour Weekend in October. The Swingtown Rebels are super excited to be a part of this year's festival again - what could be better than more than twenty bands, playing all over town for a whole long weekend for our swing dancing pleasure!
Highlights will include the Sunday night Big Band Boogie Ball, as well as including the Monday Big Band Picnic. Closer to the time, we’ll put together a suggested dancer’s schedule, to give you the best chance of meeting up with other dancers. We’re also super excited this year to have Jethro teaching some Social Big Apple (aka Swing Rueda) workshops for us on the Saturday morning (further details to follow).
