You're invited to learn a fun all-levels routine which we'll perform at the Swing Patrol Christmas Party on December 20th!!!Who can join in?
Everyone is welcome to come and learn the routine, as we will teach everything step by step. You can also learn the routine even if you don't want to perform.
How hard will the routine be?
There will be a mixture of some easy and some harder moves, so the level will best suit solid beginner dancers (who have been dancing regularly for several months) and Intermediate level dancers. If you're not sure please speak to your teachers.
Should I do one class or both?
We will be teaching the moves in the level 1 class at 6.30pm and then teaching the routine and choreography in the second class at 7.45pm. So coming to both classes is recommended for our newer dancers as well as those who'd like a refresher on some of the harder moves.
Why learn a routine?
- Learning choreography is a great way to really improve your dancing, FAST. You'll learn a bunch of moves and get loads of opportunities to practice them.
- Performing is FUN! You'll get to show what you've learned and share your love of dancing with your friends.
What time are the classes?
Learn the moves: 6.30pm
Learn the choreography: 7.45pm
When is it happening?
Classes start Tuesday 4th November and run every week until 17th December. The performance will be on Friday 20th December at the Christmas Party.
No need to register for the classes, just come and pay on the door.
What if I don't want to perform?
You are still welcome to learn the routine even if you don't plan on performing, however the last two classes on December 10th and 17th will be designed just for people who are performing.
What if I miss a class?
Obviously the more classes you can make the better, however if you miss a class you should be able to catch up. We will be posting video recaps which you can watch to learn the bits you missed at home. But if you miss a lot of classes you may find it too tricky to learn the parts you've missed.
Do I need a partner for the classes?
No - in class we'll be rotating partners as usual so you don't need to have a specific partner.
Do I need a partner for the performance?
Yes - you can either choose someone to dance with, or if you don't have a partner in mind we can pair you up with someone.
