Umoja, meaning unity in Swahili, reflects the spirit of this day — a coming together to celebrate progress while investing in the future of children and families. Hosted by The Foreman Properties Group, this inaugural event transforms the game of golf into a platform for connection, empowerment, and collective giving, with proceeds benefiting the Mombasa Relief Initiative and its mission to advance education, health, and economic enrichment for children in Mombasa, Kenya.

On Juneteenth, we gather in the spirit of celebration, progress, and collective uplift.

Swing Fore Umoja is more than a golf tournament — it is a day dedicated to bringing people together through fellowship, purpose, and shared commitment to creating meaningful change.

The word Umoja means unity in Swahili, reflecting the heart of this event: communities joining together to celebrate, support, and empower others.

Hosted by The Foreman Properties Group, Swing Fore Umoja unites golfers, business leaders, sponsors, and community members for an unforgettable experience that blends networking, purpose, and impact — all while honoring the significance of Juneteenth through collective action and support.

About the Beneficiary — Mombasa Relief Initiative (MRI)

The Mombasa Relief Initiative began with a shared vision and a deep connection to the people of Kenya.

Beginning in 1993, members of the founding group traveled to Kenya to collect African art for resale in the United States. Over time, those trips evolved into a greater calling. In March 2001, while in Mombasa, the group made a commitment to act — beginning with feeding over 200 children at Bombululu Village.

Today, MRI serves children and families through:
