Swing City Jazz

On 24 June 2026, a 14-piece big band ensemble of a calibre never before assembled on an Indian stage performs in Hyderabad. A one-night-only concert at the Ravi Narayan Reddy Auditorium in Film Nagar, and a first for India.

Leading the band is Jared Sims, the 2025 Boston Music Awards Jazz Artist of the Year and Director of Jazz Studies at West Virginia University. He is joined by Douglas Olsen on trumpet and Reggie Watkins on trombone, a Grammy-nominated musical director.

Joining them is a group of the foremost Indian jazz musicians, including Mumbai-based saxophonist Ryan Sadri. Together, the band is a 14-member line-up of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, bass, grand piano, electric guitar, and drums.

Expect an evening of all-original compositions by Jared Sims and Swing City Jazz, performed live in an intimate 500-seat hall. One night only.
