It has become a Swing Barrel tradition to celebrate the New Year with another country (mainly because we probably won't be awake at midnight). We've celebrated with Iceland and Latvia. And now it's time to celebrate with.....PORTUGAL!! The figurative ball drops at 6:00 pm in the taproom. So, with what kind of Portuguese customs will we celebrate?
You will receive 12 raisins to eat at midnight (Portuguese time). For each raisin eaten, you are asked to make 12 wishes, so make your list ahead of time.
The color of your underwear is also an important determinant of fortune for the new year, so we will be having an underwear drawing (while supplies last) to see how lucky your 2025 will be. Please don't worry, all underwear will be new. ;-) Each color signifies a different aspect of fortune, so what will yours be?!
AND....after you are finished raising your glasses, you can join us for a New Year-themed night of Think Barrel Trivia with the best trivia host in the land, Kyle Matthews!! 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
