Swift Sit at Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary
About this Event
As the sun begins to set, Chimney Swifts will take to the evening sky in one of nature's most captivating aerial displays. Join us for The Swift Sit at Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary, a relaxed "Big Sit" style gathering where all you have to do is settle in, grab a slice, and enjoy the spectacle.
Pizza and snacks provided!
Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket, pack your favorite snacks and drinks, and spend a peaceful summer evening surrounded by fellow nature lovers. Along the way, we'll share fun facts about Chimney Swifts, their incredible migrations, and why protecting nesting and roosting habitat is so important.
Whether you're an experienced birder or simply looking for a unique way to spend an evening outdoors, The Swift Sit is the perfect opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and witness one of Indiana's most remarkable wildlife events.
This event will take place behind Brooks Hall, in view of the Chimney Swift tower. Accessible restrooms available in Brooks Hall.
