Make Your Own Sweetgrass Basket
Join master basket maker Jennifaye Singleton on Saturday, September 13th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM ET at the Gullah Museum in Georgetown, SC, for a hands-on sweetgrass basket workshop.
The Gullah Geechee people have been making sweetgrass baskets for centuries, preserving a coiling technique identical to the baskets of West and Central Africa.
Class Fee: $75 + $4.50 tax (all materials included)
