Raising Hope for Adilae Honey’s Journey with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH)
Hi everyone!
As some of you may know, our granddaughter, Adilae Honey, was born with a rare immune disorder called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) — a condition so uncommon that only 1-2 in every 1 million infants are diagnosed with it each year.
At birth, Adilae was diagnosed with skin LCH, and while we are deeply grateful that it has not progressed to her organs, this is a lifelong diagnosis that requires frequent monitoring and ongoing medical care. Right now, Adilae has checkups with Pediatric Hematology-Oncology every 2–3 months, and the cost of labs, imaging, and specialist visits has grown significantly after a recent change in her insurance coverage.
We’re launching this fundraiser to help cover:
• Medical bills not covered by insurance
• Travel costs to and from appointments
• Medications and follow-up testing
• A portion of all donations will go toward research through the Histiocytosis Association to help families like hers and support a future without this disease
