Sweet Beginnings: Rosh Hashanah Family Festival
About this Event
Bring in the New Year with the soulful sounds of the shofar in a joyful community celebration with live music, Rosh Hashanah crafts, holiday rituals and learning experiences and the sweet flavors of the season. All ages welcome.
Hear the soulful call of the shofar, make hands-on holiday crafts, drum to joyful rhythms with Drummm, and discover the remarkable world of honeybees with the SF Beekeepers Association. Then enjoy apples, honey, and other sweet tastes of the season as you celebrate fresh beginnings and all the possibilities of the year ahead.

Rosh Hashanah rituals, kid-friendly crafts, bee exploration, holiday flavors, and music with Melita Silberstein.
11:45 am:
The Rhythm Circle interactive, kid-friendly drum session with Drummm.
Give Back for the New Year
As we begin the year with gratitude and generosity, help support neighbors experiencing food insecurity by bringing non-perishable food or household essentials for our High Holidays Food Drive. Collection bins will be available in our atrium from August 30 – September 30.
Looking for ways to celebrate? Take a peek at all of our High Holiday offerings. From lectures to lunches, to an inspirational playlist – we have options for you and your loved ones to reflect and renew to launch a New Year.
All are welcome to this event – please select the payment option that’s best for your family. The $18 option supports our large holiday celebrations. Thank you!
