This ceremony follows Lakota traditions and is a structured and intentional process.
πΏ Community Preparation:
- Participants are encouraged to gather wood, assist in setting up, and contribute to the preparation process.
- This is an essential part of the ceremony, fostering patience, gratitude, and humility.
- Even if you cannot do physical labor, your presence and energy in the preparation process are valuable.
π Introduction & Intentions:
- The ceremony begins with teachings about the tradition, setting collective and personal intentions.
- This is a time to ask questions, connect with fellow participants, and mentally prepare.
π₯ The Lodge Experience:
- Heated Grandfather Stones are brought into the lodge.
- Water is poured over the stones, creating steam that purifies and cleanses.
- The experience is guided by traditional songs, prayers, and moments of silence.
π² Post-Ceremony Gathering:
- After the lodge, we gather for a shared meal as a community.
- Each participant is encouraged to bring a dish to contribute to this potluck-style meal.

This ceremony is conducted with deep cultural respect and follows traditional teachings.
This is not a space for:
β Personal energy healing or external spiritual rituals.
β The use of crystals or other personal ceremonial items.
β Any form of commercial solicitation.

π How to Prepare
β Arrive on time β The ceremony follows a set structure and late entry is not permitted.
β Attire:
- Men should wear shorts.
- Women should wear a long skirt and a shirt covering the shoulders.
β What to Bring:
- 1-2 towels
- A small t0bacco offering for the firekeeper and facilitator (optional)
- A dish to share for the post-ceremonial meal
β Help with Setup: If you can, arrive early to assist in gathering wood and preparing the space.
