Swearing, Spanners and Plenty of Tea: The Joys of Heritage Workshop

Our November talk takes us for an exclusive look behind the scenes at Craftmaster Restorations, a leading industrial heritage restoration company based in Cambridgeshire. Join Jamie Allen as he talks us through projects which have passed through the workshop, giving rusting pieces of our industrial past a shiny new lease of life.
Jamie, who leads Craftmaster Restorations, has over 15 years of experience in steam and vintage heritage engineering. Since joining the Craftmaster family several years ago he has helped complete some stunning restorations.
The talk will take place in the Pye Building at Cambridge Museum of Technology. Entrance on the night is via the Museum’s Cheddars Lane gate.
There will be free light refreshments courtesy of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMECHE)
Tickets for the talk are available in advance or on the door for £5 a head, £3 for students. Members and volunteers at Cambridge Museum of Technology can attend for free. Talks are sometimes very popular and advance booking is recommended. https://www.museumoftechnology.com/calendar/nov2026/ciag-meeting-w3ksc-hpx32-dz9rx
