This exciting course introduces students to the fundamentals of stage combat with a focus on the iconic style of swashbuckling made famous by classic Hollywood films. Big, bold, brave, and fun storytelling skills!
This class is perfect for actors, stunt performers, and theatre enthusiasts looking to add dynamic and exciting stage combat skills to their repertoire.

Jon Beal is an actor, fight director, and blood/gore designer hailing from Chicago, IL. He earned his BA from Columbia College Chicao, where he became an advanced actor combatant and has since worked as a fight director and blood/gore designer for dozens of productions and theaters in the Chicagoland area, including the Goodman, Paramount Theater, The House, Victory Gardens, The Hypocrites, BoHo Theater, Steep Theater, Theatre Wit, KoKandy Productions, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and TimeLine Theater, where he received a Jeff Award for Best Fight Direction in 2019. Jon recently moved to DC and earned his MFA in Classical Acting from the STC Academy, and is excited to share his passion for stage combat with Noble Blades.
