Swapshop: Slow Fashion Month Edition

A swapshop is an event to exchange clothes — and a chance to rethink how we value what we wear.

As part of this year’s Slow Fashion Month, we invite you to join us for an afternoon of conscious fashion, community, and storytelling. The goal of this swapshop is to expand and connect the communities of Materials for Future, Slow Fashion Show, and Tina Steinke, while sharing practical insights and inspiration around sustainable fashion.

This is not a fast fashion swap. Instead, we focus on quality pieces, care, and the stories behind our clothes. Alongside swapping, there will be space to mingle, exchange ideas, and learn more about how to extend the life of garments through mindful consumption.

How it works

• Bring 1–5 clothing items in good condition (clean, good quality).
• Fast fashion pieces are discouraged unless they are genuinely well-made and in excellent condition.
• At the door, your items will be checked and you will receive one token per item.
• Each token can be exchanged for one garment inside the swap.
• You may only take as many items as you bring.
• Optional: write a short story or note about your garment (what it means to you, where it comes from, or why you’re passing it on).

• Time: 14:00–17:00
• Location: Am Rollberg 28A, Berlin, Germany
  (Entrance details and exact directions will be shared before the event.)
• Tickets: Donation-based (recommended donation: 2–5 EUR)
  All contributions go towards event organisation, including snacks, drinks, and basic amenities.
