Swansea Fungi Foray 2026
About this Event
This has become an annual event thanks to its popularity and the expertise of our leader, Teifion Davies.
Teifion, an amateur mycologist and retired head gardener at Clyne Gardens, will lead a group looking for edible and non-edible fungi in the oak/beech woodland which covers a major part of the Clyne Valley Country Park, Swansea.
Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for woodland walks and appropriate for the weather forecast on the day.
The start point is where the path to the woods turns off Rhyd-Y-Defaid Drive, Sketty, Swansea. The path leaves the road between house numbers 111 and 113. The meeting point on What3Words is ///hidden.files.dogs
Parking available at the roadside. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please book separately for each person attending.
This event is free but we request minimum £2 donation per adult to help cover the Wildlife Trust group's costs. We have a card machine but please bring some cash just in case our mobile phone signal isn't good. Many thanks.
