Swan Sessions | Warwick: The Shape of Memory

Schubert’s Piano Trio in B flat major is a work of extraordinary lyricism, intimacy and emotional depth.

Written during the final year of the composer’s life, it inhabits a world where joy and melancholy exist side by side, and where memory and longing seem never far away.

The performance begins with David Le Page’s new work The Shape of Memory, an exploration of the ways in which memories fade, evolve and occasionally return with startling clarity.
