The Shenandoah Valley Tractor Pullers Association was established in 1990 through the merger of three clubs: Valley Pullers, Tri-County Pullers, and Sled. In 1994, the association aligned with the National Garden Tractor Pullers Association, standardizing rules and safety measures nationwide. In the late 1990s, the club transitioned to the American Tractor Pulling Association and later joined the Pro Pulling League, maintaining that connection through the 2025 season. As of 2026, the association has embarked on an independent path.
