SVNTAX ERROR
Svntax Error have toured Australia with Japanese post‑rock titans MONO, performed at the post rock mecca of Belgium’s Dunk! Festival and London’s legendary Black Heart. Their last Sydney show was at The Metro Theatre, performing alongside Cog and US cult icons …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead.
Armed with two acclaimed albums and the brand new Fires Of Home, the band continues to push deeper into widescreen, atmospheric, and sonically adventurous territory.
Fires Of Home released on the 3rd July 2026, through Bird's Robe Records
For fans of: Mogwai, Swans, Sigur Rós, The Church, Radiohead, The Cure, MONO, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, My Bloody Valentine, Oiseaux-Tempête, Hawkwind.
‘Drawing influences from Mogwai, The Cure, Nick Cave, The Dirty Three and more, the Sydney- based band have earned a reputation for thrilling sonic explorations making use of hypnotic grooves, wailing theremins and of course, a post-rockers penchant for delay pedals.’
- Jacopo Vigezzi, Progressive Rock Journal
‘Brilliant, creative, beautifully atmospheric and dripping with talent.’
- Les Chatwin, Uncle Les Talks Music

MUSHROOM GIANT (MELBOURNE)
Their first time back in Sydney since a string of shows with Cog and …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead (USA), Melbourne based heavy psych post rockers Mushroom Giant will be celebrating the release of brand new track ‘A Perfect Storm’.
Born 20+ years ago in the early Aussie heavy-psych scene, Melbourne-based 4-piece Mushroom Giant has reshaped, reimagined and redefined their sound with every album they’ve made, dating back to their first album “Rails” way back in 2003 – and with pretty much the same lineup. Since then they’ve produced another three albums with the most recent being 2023’s ‘In a Forest’, released on vinyl via Dunk! Records and garnering high praise from around the world.
‘I could hear elements of Opeth, Firebreather, Primus, Mr Bungle, Mastodon and Mike Oldfield, amongst others; all culminating in what I’d imagine the Melvins would sound like if they were a progressive rock act.’
- Devil’s Horns magazine
‘Bringing a cinematographic vision to their songs, MUSHROOM GIANT present a magical work driven by a guitar duo who know how to plunge us into fascinating dreamscapes presided over by an elegant Psychedelia enriched with monumental post-rock passages.’
- The Music
‘Elements of prog, stoner and avant-garde rock in a very heady concoction.’
- Prog magazine UK

THE VEIL
The Veil are a unique entity in the Australian underground, their dark and expansive music long having been the vehicle for Che de Boehmler’s sonorous baritone and multifaceted guitar work.
Since returning from their hiatus the band are in remarkable form both on stage and in the studio, with an agile lineup including long serving multitalented bassist Ben Rumble and powerhouse drummer Bunga Keinanti.
Now having recently launched their new album Departures, The Veil return to The Vanguard to showcase their signature sound that effortlessly combines Post-Punk and Doom with moments of Shoegaze beauty and Black Metal catharsis. Expect to hear a rarely aired track or two to mark the occasion.
“Albums like this make you realise how exceptional music can be, so deep and resonating and utterly memorable, even on the first play.”
Devil’s Horns Zine
“Che de Boehmler’s dark tones toll like doom across The Veil’s intricate and evocative musical framework, pulling together an immaculate album of expressive gloom that transcends genre expectations.”
Brian Giffin - Hot Metal Magazine
