Simon Faivel
As a Director at Social Ventures Australia (SVA), Simon focuses on strategy and managing to outcomes. SVA improves the lives of people in need through consulting services, impact investing, and leadership development in the social sector. Simon leads SVA’s work on Social Value and Social Return on Investment (SROI). He will discuss examples of social investment he has seen and worked on in Australia, highlighting successful initiatives and their impacts.
Awerangi Tamihere
Awerangi is the Chief Operating Officer of the Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency (WOCA), where she champions social investment to uplift whānau across Aotearoa. Over many years, WOCA has developed robust models for social investment, starting with building internal capability in impact management. This foundational work has expanded into more innovative models and transformational programmes across partners in their network. Awerangi will discuss WOCA’s journey and the local strategies they employ for social investment, sharing valuable insights from their extensive experience and initiatives aimed at enhancing generational wellbeing.
