About this Event

The McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA) invites academics, clinicians and members of the public to the Suzanne Labarge Lecture in Aging.

Aging is often framed through ideals of "success", yet the reality is more complex. Changes in cognition, mobility and sensory processes are a natural part of life, and adapting to them requires both resilience and support.

The McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA) is proud to present this public talk and discussion with Dr. Caterina Rosano, Professor and physician-scientist at the University of Pittsburgh, whose work focuses on the neurobiological drivers of aging. Drawing on neuroimaging research, Dr. Rosano will explore how the brain supports adaptation over time and share practical insights to support continued engagement in the activities that matter most to us as we age.

This event will be recorded. The recording will be available on the MIRA website about two weeks after the event.

Light snacks will be provided. Parking is free at the event.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at [email protected].
