Do you feel that hand sewing has to be perfect and only used for mending clothes? ๐งต ๐This sustainable slow stitching workshop is designed to unleash your inner creativity by using traditional stitching techniques for a meaningful purpose.
You'll learn basic stitching methods in this intimate group setting while getting acquainted with the needle, thread, and various fabrics. You'll explore the beauty of imperfection and experience the joy of the creative process.
Rekindling the age-old practice of hand-sewing with loads of creativity, sustainable slow stitching embraces your intuitive style and rhythm. Create a unique textile art ๐ผ๏ธ while learning the art of hand sewing using scrap fabric remnants and other non-traditional resources.
The workshop is designed for beginner sewers who have no or limited hand-sewing experience. ๐ฑ
The workshop includes:
๐ 2 hour guided facilitation by local eco living educator, Mardi from ReNewy Living
โป๏ธ Fabric remnants and other suitable materials for repurposing
๐งถ Needles and other tools & supplies, including thread, cotton, and yarn
There will be two sessions:
