About this Event

Come make your own inks from natural materials like red cabbage, hibiscus leaves, beets, avocado pits, logwood, oak galls, or walnut hulls. We'll show you how to cook the materials, make your own gum arabic binder, and shift the colors of your inks by changing their pH. You'll leave with basic formulas for making inks for your art and design practice. Open to anyone interested. This is an in-person event, and your hands may get dirty or stained, but the colors are all natural.
