About this Event

Come make your own paint using sustainable binders such as egg yolk and gum arabic (egg tempera and watercolor). We'll supply the materials and formulas so you can replicate these paint-making recipes, explain why these materials are more sustainable (they're bound with natural materials instead of petroleum derivatives, and use less-toxic pigments), demonstrate how to make the paints, and have you make some of your own.

Location:

Pratt Institute | South Hall - basement room 001

Facilitators:

Estefania Velez Rodriguez - Adjunct Associate Professor, Fine Arts

Cathy LeCleire Wright - Full Time CCE Adjunct Professor, Fine Arts
