Sustainable Land Imaging (SLI) Commercialization Plan Industry Week 2026
About this Event
About this event
NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) invite Earth observation providers, analytics firms, and Cal/Val instrument manufacturers to join the 2026 Sustainable Land Imaging (SLI) Commercialization Plan Industry Week. This event provides an in-depth look at the evolving NASA/USGS approach to enabling a commercially supported future for Landsat-quality data and products. The week highlights a strategic shift toward a commercially enabled model for producing, validating, and delivering SLI data products. NASA and USGS aim to foster a competitive, sustainable U.S. Earth observation marketplace and to expand industry’s long-term role in supporting Landsat continuity. Industry Week offers both an open community-wide briefing and a series of scheduled by-invitation-only one-on-one sessions that enable deeper technical and business discussions with government program leaders.

Format and schedule
Industry Week is structured to facilitate both broad community engagement and focused dialogue between government and industry. The week is organized in two distinct formats designed to maximize the value of both group and one-on-one interactions.
Monday, August 31, 2026, Time: 1:30 pm | Half-Day (Open to Confirmed Registrants)
In-Person Location: Dallas Peck Auditorium, USGS Headquarters, Reston VA
Virtual participation will be available.
Industry event opens on Monday, August 31 with a half-day community briefing open to all confirmed registered participants. A virtual meeting link will be provided to confirmed remote participants.
Industry One-on-one Deep-Dive Sessions (By-Invitation Only)
Tuesday, September 1 – Friday, September 4, 2026
Location: TBD, USGS Headquarters, Reston VA
Following the community briefing, NASA and USGS will host a series of one-on-one sessions with registered and invited companies from Tuesday through Friday. The final location for one-on-one sessions will be confirmed and communicated to invited participants prior to the event. Each session will be pre-scheduled based on registration requests. Scheduling details and session confirmation will be communicated to registered participants following the closure of the registration window (see below).
