About this Event
Transform your holiday wrapping into an eco-conscious work of art! Join us at h2hotel for a Sustainable Gift Wrapping Workshop led by San Francisco nonprofit SCRAP and artist Bela Haye. This hands-on upcycling session aligns with our commitment to sustainability, offering creative ways to reduce waste while adding a personal touch to your holiday preparations.
Skip the chain-store gift bags and plastic bows—instead, craft unique wraps, festive bags, and packaging embellishments using materials sourced from the SCRAP Depot. Learn how to repurpose items you already have at home—like calendars, fabric scraps, and greeting cards—into stunning, one-of-a-kind gift wrap
Bring your gifts to wrap on-site and leave with your holiday to-do list a little lighter! Every participant will also take home a hand-sewn gift bag filled with their crafted creations.
All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own items to repurpose. We suggest a donation of $50 per attendee. Your contribution supports SCRAP’s mission of providing arts education for underserved children in the Bay Area.
About SCRAP
Since 1976, SCRAP has been a pioneer in creative reuse, arts education, and environmental sustainability. Operating out of San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, SCRAP diverts over 200 tons of waste from landfills annually, turning everyday objects into creative resources for over 33,000 people. Their programs ignite the imagination, build community, and promote a circular approach to art and sustainability.
Get ready to wrap sustainably—and in style!
