Sustainability Tour at the Arlington Courthouse Farmers Market
About this Event
Join the DC Regional Chapter of Les Dames Green Tables Committee for an insider’s tour of sustainability practices at the Arlington Courthouse Farmers Market. We’ll start at the Dame-owned Rossana, A Mobile Espresso Experience, across from the market, to learn about how their specialty coffees, teas, and bites are prepped without gas generators. Then, with the FRESHFARM market manager as our guide, we’ll get the inside scoop on the market vendors’ sourcing, growing practices, alternative energy usage, and other ways they lighten their footprints while providing locally produced food.
To beat the heat, we’ll start early – 8 a.m. And don’t forget to bring your reusable bags because you’ll probably want to get some shopping in after the tour!
Meet at 8 a.m. near the Rossana truck.
Will it be a peach basil latte, rhubarb and grapefruit matcha or something else refreshing from Rossana? Drinks will be available to purchase as soon as you arrive. We’ll send out the current menu shortly before the event.
Open to Dames, their guests, and the public. Space is limited to 30 participants.
