Sustainability Summit

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago's 14th Annual Sustainability Summit is set for October 22 from 10 a.m. – noon at the Town of Cicero Community Center, 4936 W. 23rd Street, Cicero. Guest speakers will highlight a range of topics focused on climate resilience, infrastructure and community engagement.

• Suzanne Malec-McKenna, Director, Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability
• Holly Sauter, Principal Civil Engineer, Stormwater Section, MWRD
• Eleanor Sweeney, Director, Collective Learning Lab
• Tom Tomschin, Director of Housing, Town of Cicero

In addition to sharing innovative strategies and resources, the Summit will honor individuals, organizations, municipalities, and agencies that exemplify leadership in sustainability. The MWRD will recognize projects across Cook County that advance renewable resources, flood control, and water quality improvements.
