Sustainability Student Boot Camp

Elevate your career in sustainability with this special, limited opportunity!

This FREE 2-Day boot camp hosted in partnership with Eco Canada, FUSE Collective, and TalentED YYC will give current undergraduate and diploma students the skills and insight to land a job in environmental, sustainability, and green economy careers!

FREE breakfast and lunch provided for day-1 in person learning.

Day 1, May 22, 2024 | In Person: students participating in this boot camp will learn about the labour market and what jobs are available in the sustainability sector and beyond. Human Resource Professionals from the environmental sector will walk students through what to put on their resumes and LinkedIn, how to stand out in their job applications, interview skills to land the job, and what questions to ask in an interview.

Day 2, May 23, 2024 | Online: Students will apply day 1 learning, dive deeper into resume skills, and receive a crash course in networking before connecting with industry leaders to build their network.

In these sessions, students will gain skills and insights into building a successful career, including:

• Job market overview
• Green skills for career
• Opportunities to increase employability & HR tips
• Training and certification options in the net zero economy to elevate your career
• Hiring and qualification needs in the green sector
• Networking opportunities with industry leaders
• Critical thinking workshop
• Networking with industry leaders interested in hiring students

This opportunity is available exclusively for undergraduate and diploma students who are currently registered in a Calgary post-secondary institution.
