From LA to New York City, from Maine to Texas, the U. S. government's use of mass surveillance has exploded in recent years. It's used to surveil and punish racial justice activists, immigrants, women accessing reproductive health services and many organizations. But government surveillance is not new. When have we seen this before? What can we learn from our own history? How do AI and digital technologies change the struggle for justice and equality? Come be a part of the conversation with Dr. Prasad Venugopal from Ferndale Inclusion Network. There will also be a zoom option. Register to attend in person or to receive the zoom link. Only those registered will be admitted to the zoom meeting for security purposes.
