MBBA Member Day of Service — March 16, 2026

As part of our 5th Anniversary celebration, the Michigan Black Business Alliance is calling our members to serve. Join us for a full day of giving back to the Detroit community.

The Day

From 10 AM to 12 PM, we'll be on-site at the Detroit Rescue Mission (13220 Woodward Ave, Highland Park, MI 48203) serving and supporting those in need. From 1 to 3 PM, we'll gather at the Blk Biz Hub (28 W. Adams Ave, Suite 800, Detroit, MI 48226) to assemble hygiene kits and snack packs for the Detroit Phoenix Center.

What We Need

We're collecting donations to build 50 hygiene kits and 50 snack packs, along with 100 drawstring bags to pack them in. If you're able to contribute any of the items below, please bring them with you.

Hygiene Kit Items: toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, soap/body wash, wash cloths, lotion, hand sanitizer, first aid kits, body wipes, chapstick, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, drawstring bags

Snack Pack Items: chips, cookies, fruit snacks, noodle packs, water, juice, crackers, tuna, slim jims, pop tarts
