I’m delighted to be home and to facilitate another dance temple this New Year’s, especially after the overflow of joy that we co-created from the last one. This year’s event will be centered on Surrendering into the heart. This evening is an opportunity to shed all our narratives, thoughts, emotions, and relax our seeking, so that, for this moment in time, we can fully sink into the Heart and be carried in its innate love and knowing. When we ease into letting go of the layers of what our mind has believed is the Self, we can create more space and opening for our formless and Divine nature. Let your self fully open up and groove into all that the New Year will bring 😉"

DJ LUMBERJACKIE, (who goes by the moniker Tianzuo on streaming platforms and Youtube), is a composer, producer, and DJ based out of Campbell River, and studies music at the Selkirk College of Contemporary Music & Technology in Nelson, BC. As a DJ, he brings together a wide-ranging taste of music seamlessly into his sets, showing that genres are to be transcended for the purpose of conveying emotion and telling a story.

This is a transformational safe space for dance, healing, prayer, laughter, joy, sadness and everything in between.
DANCE TEMPLE AGREEMENTS::
In this space we collectively agree to:
*Develop compassion, awareness, acceptance
*Deepen into a body-centred meditation
*No talking on the dance floor
*No outdoor shoes (for indoor dances)
*No cellphones
*No instruments
*No photography
*No drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicants.
Family Dance Temple Agreements:
Dance Temple Welcomes families and children! To meet the diverse needs of our dancers we have created special "family agreements"
- Children are welcome on the dance floor area provided that they are accompanied & closely minded by their parents (for example; dancing beside their parent or guardian).
- No speaking on the dance floor.
- During the opening and closing circles children will remain with their parents and remain as quiet as possible so that people speaking in the circle can be heard.
ON BOUNDARIES & TOUCH:
We define consent as freely given, ongoing and an enthusiastic agreement for mutual participation. In this space we practice self-awareness of our own bodies, and the ways in which we engage with the moving bodies of others. WHEN APPROACHING OTHERS:
*Make no assumptions!
Look for a yes, look for eye contact
*Respect any no (including when someone is ignoring you or moves away from you)
*Respect a Solo Dancer’s right to their space.
* Do not engage in physical touch without clear consent.
