Join us for a fascinating journey throughout the travels, both domestic and international. We’ll voyage along with a linguist’s eye to some well-known and more exotic places. Have you struggled to learn a language, use it for traveling, or even picked up a few words along the way? What if you knew the language but were still surprised at the linguistic variance of every day - or exotic - places? Whether you're an avid traveler, bilingual, or simply fascinated by how languages continue to shape their surrounding cultures, this presentation offers a personal and visually rich experience.Presenter Info:
Courtney Lanute is a college professor, currently teaching Spanish and English for Academic Purposes at FSW. She has previously taught French, Humanities, Italian, Art, Music, and Theater Appreciation, and Student Success Classes. She travels extensively (currently at 17 and counting) and lives in Fort Myers.
