Surgical skills taster workshop for home learners
About this Event
The Hunterian Museum's Surgical skills taster workshop for home learners and parents/carers provides a friendly and inclusive environment for families to explore the Museum. Suitable for 13+ only.
The workshop starts at 10.30am until 12.30pm. It takes place in a dedicated room on the first floor and is facilitated by a retired surgeon/GP. Late comers may not be admitted.
Children under the age of 13 will not be admitted in the room for safety reasons.
It includes :
- Gloving and gowning up
- Surgical knot tying demonstration and practice
- Practicing basic suturing skills (use of needles and surgical instruments)
- Asking questions to a retired or consultant surgeon/GP
Book your ticket here - Maximum 1 tickets per family/carer. Ticket price is £20 or £30 per family. £20 tickets includes 1 child and 1 adult. £30 tickets includes 2 children and 1 adult. This includes material for all participants.
