Supporting Women’s Health: lifestyle and self-management in MS
About this Event
Taking place at Riddell Hall, Queen’s University Belfast, this morning event will bring together healthcare professionals from across primary and secondary care to explore practical, evidence-informed approaches to MS care.
The agenda will focus on the latest research in women’s health and MS, including hormonal influences, fertility, pregnancy and menopause. It will also look at the role of lifestyle pillars, including physical activity, nutrition and stress management, alongside Medic*tion and treatments.
Through expert talks, case studies, peer conversations and a panel Q&A, participants will consider practical ways to integrate lifestyle and self-management conversations into routine clinical care.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this event, participants will be able to:
- Describe key women’s health considerations across the MS life course including hormonal influences, fertility and pregnancy, and menopause
- Understand how the role of lifestyle pillars, including physical activity, nutrition and stress management alongside Medic*tion and treatments are vital in supporting people living with MS
- Identify practical ways to integrate lifestyle and self-management conversations into routine clinical care
- Apply learning through case studies and peer conversations
