About this Event
This kick off event will include the first session in a multi-session series to support improved programming, services and IEP compliance for dually identified students.
This professional development session is designed for Special Education, General Education, and English Language Development (ELD) specialists.
The focus will be on providing comprehensive supports for English learners (ELs) within the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
Participants will gain insights into the pre-referral and special education referral processes for ELs, understand the Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements, and learn how to set linguistically appropriate goals and support for English learners (ELs) within the Multi-Tiered System of Support and objectives.
Session Outcomes:
By the end of this session, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to effectively support English learners within the MTSS framework, ensuring that these students receive the appropriate interventions and services to succeed academically and linguistically.
