Join us at the Tuesday, January 7th, 2024, meeting of the Westerville City Council to continue to lobby members of council to pass a policy that will help to protect vulnerable members of our community from abuses by the Trump administration. In addition, come show your support for the potential conversion therapy ban that council will be discussing. In just under 2 weeks, Trump will be President, but we still have our power! We decide how our local tax dollars are spent and how city staff will spend their time, not Donald Trump.
We need Westerville City Council to pass legislation that deprioritizes enforcement, and cooperation in enforcing, laws that target trans people, people who are seeking or assisting abortion, and immigrants and their families. These are the people who will be targeted by the Trump administration.
Although the city manager made positive comments at the last meeting, we still need city council to act to put a policy in writing.
Come out and show your support as citizens address council during the public comments portion of the meeting and stay to listen to responses from members of council.
Note that this will be the first regular council meeting at the Westerville Police HQ on Huber Village Boulevard. Council meetings are relocating while city hall is being renovated.
