𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: This summer you will believe a man can fly! Boasting a screenplay from Mario Puzo (The Godfather) and keen direction from Richard Donner, SUPERMAN soars off the comic book pages onto the big screen. In his breakout role, Christopher Reeve perfectly encapsulates the alien refugee from the doomed planet of Krypton as he dons his cape to protect the citizens of Metropolis. Starring Marlon Brando as the hero’s father, Gene Hackman as the scenery-chewing Lex Luthor and Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, this 1978 film features impressive special effects, which pair splendidly with John Williams' iconic score.
We will be screening the nearly 4 hour Director’s Cut featuring over 40 minutes of additional concert footage and remastered sound. Due to the film’s runtime, there will be a 10 minute intermission.
