The Superbowl of Birding is a unique competition in Rockingham County, NH, and Essex County, MA, where teams of all ages aim to record the most bird species and earn points based on rarity over 12 hours. This year, teams compete in 11 categories. Enjoy a day of winter birding and see how well your team performs!A pizza party will be held at Joppa Flats Education Center for all participants beginning at 5:00 pm. Come and enjoy good cheer as teams talk about their day and all the great birds observed.
Winners of the competition will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony for all participants on the evening following the contest. Winners will also be announced on Massbird, NHBird, and Mass Audubon's website.
