IMPORTANT: BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER! Consoles will be provided for play but each player is responsible for bringing their own controller. Any controller that will connect to a Switch is legal for use with the exception of controllers that enable macro inputs (turbo buttons or input mapping).
Schedule:
TO will arrive at 6:00 to direct setup and take registration.
7:00 Registration ends. If you do not think you will be here by 7:00, please utilize the online signup feature or send a message to one of the Admins.
7:15 Tournament starts. There will be a last call for any attendees and a roll call to make sure your name everybody who registered is properly entered into bracket.
This will be a double elimination tournament. You need to lose twice before you are eliminated so please do not leave after your first loss. Even after you are eliminated, you are more than welcome to continue to play casual matches at any available setups until the end of the tournament.
There will be a 15 minute DQ timer. If you are not in front of the setup ready to play within 15 minutes of your match being called, you will be disqualified and removed from the tournament without a refund.Payments:Entry Fee: $5 Venue Fee: $10 (reduced to $5 if you are one of the first 5 people to bring a setup)
A setup is defined as a Switch or Switch 2 with all characters unlocked and full DLC, along with an official Nintendo or Mayflash Gamecube controller adapter. Monitors will be provided but do not come equipped with sound. TO will have extra speakers but if you wish to play with sound, please bring your own speaker.
Payouts: Top placing players will receive a portion of the Entry Fee cash pool determined by their placing and the number of attendees.<8: 1st - 100%
8-16: 1st - 70%, 2nd - 30%
17-32: 1st - 60%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 10%
33-64: 1st - 50%, 2nd - 25%, 3rd - 15%, 4th - 10%
65<: 1st 40% 2nd 20% 3rd 15% 4th 10% 5th 5% 7th 2.5%
