This Learn to Paddle class is specifically for those over age 50 yrs. We’ll paddle to a quiet spot on the water, refining our paddling technique, looking for wildlife from this fun perspective. We’ll find a quiet spot for a rest and meditation in a comfortable seated or reclined position while enjoying nature’s soundtrack.
Even if you never stand up on the board, this can still be a rewarding class!
This class is for the first-time paddler or the person who has successfully tried it in the past Paddlers will get tips for more power, tools for remaining relaxed and avoiding foot and leg cramps, how to navigate their board with more efficiency, support for standing if needed and considerations for windy conditions and emergencies.
For ages 50 yrs. and up
$25 per person in-city, $30 per person non-city
Location: Griffy Lake, 3400 N. Headley RD., Bloomington IN
Meet at boathouse.
Paddleboards, life vests, and paddles provided.
Please bring your own water and sun protection.
An additional session is available on Saturday, June 27.
