The Black Pearl of the Carolina Coast
Sunsets & Soul Music Festival is a 3-day celebration of live music, culture, cuisine, art, history, and unforgettable coastal energy in the historic town of Atlantic Beach, South Carolina — affectionately known as “The Black Pearl of the Carolina Coast.”
Nestled between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, Atlantic Beach holds a powerful place in American history as one of the last Black-governed beach towns in the United States and a treasured destination where Black families, entertainers, entrepreneurs, and travelers gathered during the Jim Crow era.
From October 9–11, 2026, Sunsets & Soul Music Festival will honor that legacy with a soulful weekend experience featuring:
🎶 Jazz, R&B, blues, funk & soul
🎤 Live performances & comedy
🎧 DJ sets & after-party energy
🎨 Fine art & Gullah Corridor artisans
🍽️ Local seafood, BBQ, soul food & coastal cuisine
🌊 Beachside gatherings, heritage, and community
Guests will enjoy performances from touring, emerging, and celebrated artists, along with curated vendors, distinctive fine art, Gullah Geechee culture, healthy food options, and culinary experiences that make Atlantic Beach a must-see destination.
This is more than a music festival.

🌅 WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2026
Kick off the festival with the Gullah/Geechee CREATE Artist Exhibit & Showcase, live music, a dedication honoring Atlantic Beach trailblazers, a performance by Leroy Harper Jr., the VIP Experience with Celebrity Chef Keith Rhodes, and The Late Night Snack — Ol Skool Jam Session.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2026
Experience a full day of live entertainment including Rico and the Ruffnecks, Dahi Divine and The Audessy Quartet, Strings & Soul featuring Nadjah Nicole & Monique’s String Trio, Comedian Tu Rae, Buddy Red, Dah on Sax & The Family Band, a special R&B headliner to be announced, and an after-party with DJ Holiday @ Hot 107.9.

Close the weekend with Binyas & Cumyas with Beignets on the Beach — a morning seaside breakfast, pastries, and libations ceremony featuring United Strings of Color.
