About this Event

Join us on an evening walk at Bair Island Unit of the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Redwood City. You'll be led by the restoration team from the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory, who will tell you about the history of Bair Island and the recent efforts to restore tidal wetlands in this important habitat.

Walk Difficulty

We'll walk (for 1.5 miles on a flat trail) and talk about how salt marshes are critical to combating climate change, while looking for seals, birds, bat rays and more. Bring your binoculars or borrow a pair from us. Come for the birds, stay for the sunset!
