Join us in Downtown Alpena for our FIRST EVER New Year's Eve Celebration, hosted by HPC Credit Union & the Alpena DDA! 🌅 ✨ Come to ring in the new year and celebrate new beginnings.
Enjoy food and drink specials throughout the downtown at restaurants, taprooms and bars starting at 5 pm. Dance the night away with a lineup of local DJ's from 9 pm- 1 am in the alleyway, including a special set of electronic music with Dion Stepanski. Warm up at our cozy warming stations throughout the parking lot with a Social District drink.
As midnight approaches, we will have a spectacular "sunrise" celebration in the parking lot behind Mango's, where downtown will be filled with light to celebrate new beginnings in the year ahead.

5- 10 pm: Food, drinks, and apps at downtown bars & restaurants.

5- 9 pm: Dessert & cocoa bar at the Sunrise Side Co-Op Market
Stop by the co-op's new location in the Alpena Marina building (400 E Chisholm St) to warm up with a dessert bar with treats made by local bakers for sale and hot cocoa!
6-8 pm: S'mores with Osborne Klein in the Pocket Park
Stop by the Pocket Park (by the fish mural) and get a s'mores kit to roast over the open fire, thanks to Osborne Klein! Bring the kids for this free activity.
7-10 pm: Live music with Conor Larkin at PIF Cider from 7-9, and tarot card readings during the night to gain insight into what your new year will hold! And their Apple Drop is at 10pm for all the early NYE birds!
9 pm-1 am: Mocktails & midnight noodles at Friendly Foodees
Warm up and sip specialty mocktails at Friendly Foodees. Their late-night menu will also feature a special noodle dish to ring in the new year.
9-11:15 pm: Electronic music with Dion Stepanski in the alleyway
The alleyway party starts at 9 pm. Come check out this musical master’s set. He’ll play bass, guitar, sing, and mix some sick beats. Chill house, experimental, ambient, drum and bass. Weather location is PIF Cider (205 W Chisholm St).
11:15 pm-1 am: Chris Chrzan DJ in the alleyway
The party continues with a DJ set from Chris Chrzan. Join us for drinks and dancing in the alleyway as we lead up to midnight.
Midnight: Sunrise Celebration
Downtown will be filled with light to celebrate new beginnings in the year ahead. Come to the alleyway/ parking lot area behind Mango's to ring in 2025. We are the sunrise side, after all.
