Discover the joy of working with clay in this six-week hand-building ceramics course designed for adults who enjoy learning at a relaxed, mid-day pace.
Whether you’re new to ceramics or returning with experience, this class balances guided instruction with creative freedom, allowing you to choose a personal project with support from the instructor to ensure it’s well-suited to the techniques and timeline of the course.
Early sessions introduce essential hand-building skills along with design concepts such as texture, balance, pattern, and form. As the course progresses, you’ll plan and build a realistic six-week project—such as a dish, vase, box, teapot, or small sculptural form—while receiving ongoing, personalized guidance in a small studio setting. By the end of the course, you’ll complete a finished ceramic piece and gain skills that translate to many other art forms.
All materials are provided; finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 3-4 weeks after the course concludes.
