What better way than to start summer by have tea by the pool!
When you join us for tea at 8 Cats Cincinnati, you’re not just visiting a tea house—you’re stepping into a historic home that transports you back more than a century, to a time when tea was served in intimate settings inside private residences. Our Poolside Afternoon Tea Experience is simply an extension of that charm, carried outdoors into our private garden oasis.
This special Afternoon Tea will take place in our backyard, surrounding the pool, where the soothing sounds of the waterfall—and even the distant calls of the zoo’s painted dogs and gibbons—create a uniquely serene backdrop. You’ll be welcomed with a petite teacup featuring a sample of one of our house-curated teas before being seated at tables arranged around the pool. Shaded seating with umbrellas and fans will be provided to keep you comfortable on warmer days.
The experience is thoughtfully divided into two portions. The first 1.5 hours will be a fully seated, traditional afternoon tea service. Guests will enjoy a three-tiered tray of freshly baked sweets and savory bites, along with unlimited pours of our curated teas—served both hot and iced, each inspired by our resident kitties. Warm, fluffy scones will be delivered fresh from the oven during your service.
Following tea, guests are invited to enjoy the second 1.5 hours as a relaxed poolside experience, with the opportunity to swim and unwind in the space. Please note that all guests who wish to access the pool area must sign a waiver prior to participation.
While our resident cats are not permitted outdoors during this event, guests are welcome to step inside and visit them on the first floor of the home at any time during their visit.
In the event of inclement weather, tea service will be moved indoors.
Parking:
Free parking is available in the rear of the venue at 239 Forest Ave., as well as along Forest Ave. and Wilson Ave.
Refund & Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance will receive a credit toward a future event.
No credits will be issued for no-shows.
